About Abigail
Abigail began her professional journey at a young age, when her natural gifts of compassion, care, and service blossomed into a calling. That calling inspired her to become a doula at the age of sixteen and pursue direct-entry into the midwifery world upon graduation from high school. She earned her midwifery degree while working at a US clinic overseas, caring for disenfranchised and underserved clients. That early work as a midwife underlies her commitment today to increasing access to competent, compassionate, and individualized care. Having attended clients in birth centers, clinics, hospitals, and homes around the world, she is passionate about providing midwifery services with sensitivity to individuals from diverse cultural, religious, and language backgrounds.
Abigail is committed to the holistic care of her clients. She holds a Master of Science in Nutrition and of Bachelor of Science in Midwifery. She has been a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) through the North American Registry of Midwives since 2011 and is a Licensed Midwife (LM) in Idaho and Washington State.
Abigail has a deep love of learning and has pursued additional training in the infant microbiome and epigenetics, cultural competency, respectful care practices, and nutritional therapy for pregnancy-related health conditions. As a member of the Midwives Association of North America, the Midwives Association of Washington State, and an associate member of the American Nutrition Association and the American College of Nurse Midwives, Abigail is committed to progressional growth and development, accountability, and adherence to best practice guidelines.
Abigail’s clients describe her as being patient, inviting, kind, respectful, unbiased, and professional in the care she provides.
