Becca Fino-FugateCertified Nurse-Midwife
MSN, CNM, ARNP
- Practicing since: 2017
- Renton & King County
Becca’s interest in midwifery began in 2009 when she was working as an advocate with survivors of domestic violence. She met a volunteer doula who worked within her organization and witnessed the power of having direct support during pregnancy, the birth process, and beyond. Becca completed her doula training shortly thereafter and began working as a medical assistant and abortion doula in Texas. Through this work, she continued to realize how much she loved supporting people during times of transition. The amazing midwives and healthcare providers she met along the way inspired her to continue her education and become a midwife herself.
She returned to Washington and attended Seattle University, where she completed her MSN in 2017 and began practicing right away. In addition to caring for pregnant folks, she has experience with contraception and family planning, abortion care, and gender-affirming care. With her background working with survivors, she brings a trauma-informed lens to her clinical practice.
Clients working with Becca have described her as open, compassionate, and caring. She trusts that her clients know their own bodies, and is dedicated to providing information and resources to create a plan of care that supports each person’s needs.
