Stormy DupreeCertified Nurse-Midwife
- Practicing since: 2020
- Tacoma & Pierce County
Stormy has been supporting and working with pregnant parents, families, and infants since 2000. Many of those years were spent as a labor and delivery nurse, lactation consultant and perinatal educator in Northwest Washington state.
In 2002, she earned her BSN from Rutgers University, graduating with honors, and in March of 2020 she graduated from Frontier Nursing University having earned her master’s degree in midwifery and subsequently receiving her Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Midwife licensure. Throughout her professional career Stormy’s focus has been on placing families at the center of her care. Inspired by the power of birth and the transformative experience of becoming a parent, she looks forward to assisting families throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. Stormy also provides care in all of life’s phases, including annual exams, preconception, pre and post-menopausal and family planning services, all in the spirit of the midwifery model of care.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Stormy offers compassionate care to gay, lesbian and trans families and is here to grow and learn with our ever-changing community dynamics. In her free time Stormy enjoys dancing, yoga, sitting with trees, spending time with her two grown daughters, and loving up on her wife and cat.
