Tinneca came into the field of birth work quite unintentionally after the birth of her first son over 19 years ago. What she learned through her personal experience inspired her to become the care provider she knows every person deserves; one that is attentive, sensitive, and connected. She initially began her work as a doula and childbirth educator with a focus on teen moms.
A few years in, she trained as a midwife at Casa de Nacimiento in Texas, then attended and graduated from Midwives College of Utah. She originally opened her private practice in Oregon and has been full-time in Washington for the past 10 years. Her work as a midwife has extended into many fields and she is also a teacher of pelvic floor yoga, mindfulness-based stress reduction, meditation, and nature play therapy.
Tinneca’s community describes her as having a peaceful spirit and an intuition that connects her deeply to client needs, while her clients say that she is knowledgeable, inclusive, and intentional.
