About Violet
Violet has always considered herself a "baby person," and has purposefully sought out positions working with babies and kids. She became particularly passionate about reproductive health and working with individuals and families in graduate school where she studied Maternal & Child Health. After working as a clinical social worker in a Labor & Delivery unit, Violet fell in love with birth work and perinatal care. This experience fundamentally shaped her belief that families deserve holistic care and to be heard.
Violet was born and raised in Washington State. She found herself longing for adventure, and left home to attend school in New York. Some years later she made her way to Texas where she studied and received a Masters in Clinical Social Work and a Masters in Public Health.
After moving back to Washington, Violet became a mother herself and developed an even deeper empathy for those experiencing the journey of pregnancy and early parenthood. Violet has since worked with families with infants and small children for several years in a variety of settings. She recently became Perinatal Mental Health Certified and continues to love working in this field.
