About Cassandra

Through personal struggles with pregnancy and birth trauma bloomed my purpose: to guide others along their yellow brick road as they navigate their way through the twists and turns of pregnancy and beyond.

My own restorative birth journey began with perinatal complications that ultimately led to having surgery with my baby. Following the birth of my twins, I have felt a calling for birth work. I desired to find a role that would allow me to empathetically connect with clients in a whole-person, collaborative care environment, all of which is exemplified by Quilted. I believe in alternative approaches to medicine, the power of informed choices, and embracing the beautiful chaos that ultimately stems from our circumstances. I am excited to be part of this growing legacy.

I am nationally certified and hold an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Medical Assisting with an emphasis in Obstetrics and Gynecology. I have been working in the field for over five years. I have Professional Birth Doula and Lactation Education training in addition to a foundation in phlebotomy (blood draws). During my career, I have had the privilege of working in different specialties with the spirit of education being at the center. I have overseen an outreach pregnancy clinic for underserved people that included extensive case management and varying degrees of social work, lead a specialty gynecology team, mentored at-risk teen girls, and supported families as they traverse the challenges of parenting.

My clients would describe my care as proficient, calming, and encouraging while describing me as good-natured, bright and compassionate. I strive to be a beacon of light that shines through even the seemingly darkest of nights, so that each person I encounter may be reminded that they are never alone in this world.

I am a mixed media artist, photographer and herbal apothecary. My work infuses elements of the earth with natural soaps for overall wellness. I am a Spokane native with four beautiful children. My littles and I enjoy creating all kinds of art together, nature excursions, Disney movies, baking, and dance parties.
