My journey into birth work began in 2008, driven by a passion for supporting families during one of the most transformative times in their lives. I started as a birth and postpartum doula, and over the years, I’ve had the honor of supporting many diverse families through pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, baby care, and the many emotional and physical changes that come along the way. I believe care should be empowering, respectful, and rooted in trust—helping parents feel calm, confident, and supported as they step into this new chapter.

After taking a HypnoBirthing class during my second pregnancy, I felt inspired to become a HypnoBirthing Practitioner myself. This sparked my formal career in birth education and led to an opportunity to help launch the Birth & Family Educator Program at Sacred Heart. I earned my childbirth educator certification through the International Childbirth Education Association, and have since pursued additional training in Lamaze and Birthing As Nature Intended. My goal is to bring a wide range of practical, accessible tools to the classroom—so every parent can find what works best for them.

I’ve worked with countless families, helping them replace fear with understanding and approach birth with greater readiness. Parents often describe me as calming, informative, and encouraging—especially those who come in feeling anxious or unsure. I’m here to offer evidence-based information, compassionate guidance, and a steady presence so that you feel equipped to actively participate in your birth experience. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me with my family, tending to my dahlias, or painting—like the poppy mural I created in our backyard haven.
